Alicia Vikander

 Alicia Vikander, a Swedish actress, was awarded the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Gerda Wegener in a romantic drama about the character of "The Danish Girl". Her career began as an actor for children in the stage productions of Gothenburg's opera house. In later years, she was a part in a variety of short films, television shows and telefilms through her teens. Her first big part she played in the role of Josefin Bjorn-Tegebrandt on the Swedish soap opera Andra Avenyn ('Second Avenue'). Her debut film role in the Swedish drama film Pure earned her the Guldbagge Award as Best Actress. In addition, she gained international recognition for her performances in the historical films Anna Karenina and A Royal Affair. Her roles include the militant Vera Brittain, the humanoid robot Ava and Gaby Teller, in "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." Lara Croft, the iconic Lara Croft from 'Tomb Raider'. She is engaged to Michael Fassbender, a German-born Irish actor.
