 Bernadette has been a cult performer throughout her lengthy and impressive career. She is an established Broadway performer who was nominated for seven Tony Awards and won two Drama Desk Awards. Grammy Awards were won for four of her Broadway performances. Recently, she was seen in Broadway as Dolly Gallagher Levi, the main character in Hello, Dolly! Bernadette was born Bernadette Lazzara in Queens, New York City, on February 28, 1948, to Peter Lazzara, a bread truck driver, as well as Marguerite (Maltese). The actress is Sicilian. Bernadette was born in New York City. When she was a kid she was a performer on stage, and later as an adult during the 60s. The 1970s saw her made an appearance in television and film. The early work was widely appreciated, as were her appearances on The Muppet Show (1976), The Carol Burnett Show (91) as well as other shows on television. Two EPs were released, I'm Free (2012) [3and self-titled EP released from Capitol CMG in 2014. The first album by a major label, Mansion, was released on March 31, 2015.   Emilie Ullerup-Petersen was brought up in Denmark by her father Ove Ullerup-Petersen (a Jurist and diplomat) who was also an eminent ambassador to Denmark in Vietnam.
