Demi Moore
Demi Moore was born in Roswell, New Mexico in 1962. Prior to the time Demi was born, her father Charles Harmon had left Virginia Guynes (nee King), her mother. Her life was not secure because of Danny Guynes, her stepfather. Guynes was constantly changing jobs and witnessed the family move 40 times. Guynes took his own life after an entire life of fighting, drinking and beating his parents. Demi quit school at the age of 16 and became a pin-up girl. Freddy Moore, a rock musician, became her husband when she was 18 and their marriage lasted four years. When she was 19, she started to be a part of the soap-opera General Hospital (1963). She began drinking and taking cocaine the moment she got her first paycheck. The habit continued for over three years, until Joel Schumacher threatened to remove her from St. Elmo's Fire (1985) when she was excessively high. After one week she was able to receive withdrawal treatment. She was to a clean lifestyle the next day... and kept her healthy lifestyle. She became famous due to her determination and an ability to pull off publicity stunts (like the naked appearance on the cover of Vanity Fair while she was pregnant). She is among the most well-known and important actresses due to Ghost (1990), Disclosure (1993) and Indecent Proposal (1993).
