Dennis Quaid

 Dennis Quaid, an American musician and actor is famous for his dramatic and comedic performances on television as well as in films. He is the younger brother of actor Randy Quaid. He has been in a variety of films, including "Breaking Away," The Rookie, Vantage Point The Parent Trap, and 'Far From Heaven. Quaid has been featured in a variety of shows on television such as the period drama show Vegas where he was also the executive producer. Quaid is also a musician who performs in the group "The Sharks". Quaid is most well-known for his hit song "Closer to You" that he composed and was featured in the 1987 film 'The Big Easy". Juanita B. and William Rudy Quaid were their parents. The actress was born in Houston, Texas to his brother Randy and Nita Quaid. He was a student at Bellaire High School, where he studied Mandarin Chinese and dance. Quaid was enrolled at the University of Houston, but the school dropped him before he graduated. He is very generous and has collected money for charities numerous times. He was a volunteer at the New Orleans-based International Hospital for Children. The actor has made numerous visits to Central America in the 1990s to aid in the creation of medical clinics as well as to take sick children back to the USA.
