Kevin Costner
Kevin Michael Costner was born in Lynwood on the 18th of January 1955. He is the third son of Bill Costner and Sharon Costner (nee Tedrick), who were both ditch diggers, and later electric line servicers at Southern California Edison. Sharon Costner (nee Tedrick) was an employee of the welfare system. Dan Costner, Kevin's elder brother, was born in 1950. In 1953 Dan's middle brother, Dan, passed away during the birth of his child. Kevin was a typical Army child because his father was always moving. This made him be a daydreamer , and to always being the youngster at school. He was a member of the Baptist church choir when he was an teen, and also composed poems. He also attended writing classes. He constructed his own canoe when he was 18 and sailed through the rivers Lewis & Clark had followed until the Pacific. He stood 5'2" tall when he left high school. He was still an athletic, basketball and football baseball player. He was accepted into California State University in Fullerton in 1973, to pursue a business degree. Kevin began taking acting classes five times per week for the duration of his studies. He graduated with a degree in business and got wed to Cindy Costner, his college sweetheart. In Orange County, he initially was employed as a marketing professional. He was introduced to Richard Burton, an American pilot from Mexico and the whole thing changed. Burton advised him to go after acting full-time if that was his dream. He quit his job fast and relocated to Hollywood.
