 Lucy Liu, an American director, actress, singer producer, and voice actor, is Lucy Liu. She is a beautiful, skilled actress who has inspired numerous Asian actors to become star in Hollywood. After a couple of appearances on popular TV shows, she became famous after she was played by the villainous "Ling Woo" in the legal comedy series Ally McBeal. She was successful in transforming her fame into roles that were major in the screen in films such as 'Charlie's angels as well as 'Shanghai Noon'. In Quentin Tarantino's film Kill Bill, Volume 1 the actress gave an amazing performance as O-Ren Ishii the Japanese criminal lord. She also portrayed leading roles in a handful of box office failures, including Rise: Blood Hunter'. Following that, she started to voice characters for animated films such as 'Kung Fu Panda' and 'Tinker Bell'. However, she did not get results on small screen roles like Mia Mason's character in 'Cashmere Mafia. Liu was able to restore her role as an actress when she played an recurring role in the critically acclaimed show Southland which is a police drama. Liu is careful about her roles so that she doesn't get stigmatized in a highly competitive field. Liu has never let her heritage limit her creative talents.
