Mark Wahlberg
Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg, an actor and a singer, first got into show business by taking on the role of lead singer in the group Marky Mark and The Funky Bunch. The group came out with "Good Vibrations" in the year 2000, which was an Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 . hit. The band's debut album, 'Music For the People', was also a massive hit. The youngest of the children in the family of nine, and was exposed to drugs and violence at an early age. When he was 16 he was in serious legal troubles. He was arrested for attempted murder and sent to jail for part in a violent assault. He realized that he was at the lowest point of his career and decided to make a change in his life. He was first introduced to music through his brother Donnie who was the leader of the boy group "New Kids on the Block". Music helped save Mark from living a life rife with drugs and violence. It gave him a new direction and provided him with the hope. Mark was inspired by his successes as an artist and decided to take on acting. The first TV film he appeared in The Substitute was released in 1993. Before entering the world of film and also launched an 'Marked' brand which offers nutritional supplements to athletes.
