Sela Ward
Sela Ward is an American actor, is best recognized for her Emmy Award-winning performance in shows like "Sisters" as well as "Once and Again." Sela Ward was born in Mississippi and was raised in Mississippi. She has been fascinated by the arts from the time she was an teen. After finishing high school, she enrolled at the University of Alabama and double majored in advertising and fine art. She started her career as an artist on storyboards. In order to earn extra money she started modeling, and soon was appearing in commercials on television. In 1983 she made her television and film debuts in the film called "The Man Who loved Women" and the television series named "Emerald Point N.A.S." After playing guest roles in a variety of TV shows and films throughout the 80s, her breakthrough in acting was in 1991 when she was a part of the show 'Sisters. She played the character of 'Teddy Reed' one of the principal roles. In recognition of this, she received an award called a Primetime Emmy'. She also appeared in the show "Once and Again" and was awarded a second "Primetime Emmy" and an Golden Globe award for her character as 'Lily Manning' in the show. She has also appeared in films such as 'Independence Day: Resurgence’ and 'The Day After Tomorrow'.
