 Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara Vergara was born in Barranquilla (Colombia). Margarita Vergara davila de vergara is her mother and housewife. Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo is her father. He raises cattle for the industry of meat. The youngest of her five siblings. She was a student at a bilingual private school that taught Spanish as well as English. After finishing high school, she continued to study predentistry. Sofia was caught by a photographer when she was on the beach. This led to a variety of opportunities in modeling and television. She became model for runways aged 23. She was the host of Fuera de serie (1995) which was a travel show which brought her fame to the United States. Her first film appearance was in the 2002 crime drama Big Trouble. Gloria DelgadoPritchett was her breakout part in American TV's Modern Family (2009). She received four Emmy nominations in the years 2010 and in 2013 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress for a Comedy Series. Sofia lives in Los Angeles with Manolo, her son.

  Emilie Ullerup-Petersen was brought up in Denmark by her father Ove Ullerup-Petersen (a Jurist and diplomat) who was also an eminent ambassador to Denmark in Vietnam. It was always her goal to become an actor.   After finishing the high school of Copenhagen She moved to Vancouver in 2003 to pursue acting as a profession.   She went to the Vancouver Film School, and she graduated in 2005.
