Stephen A. Smith

 Stephen A. Smith, an American sports journalist is well-known as a commentator for ESPN's sports commentary program , 'First Take.' Born in Bronx the Bronx, he was raised in Hollis, New York and completed his high school graduation from the Thomas Edison High School. After graduation, he attended the Fashion Institute of Technology. Then, he dropped out of school for a year and enrolled at the Winston-Salem State University. It was there that he began his sports journalism career and was a writer for the campus newspaper, The News Argust. He later worked as the sports reporter for reputable publications such as New York Daily News and The Philadelphia Inquirer. He began his television and radio career in the middle of 2000s. Prior to appearing on the ESPN show 'First Take' as a regular commentator he had an on-off relationship with the network as the host of numerous ESPN shows. He currently happens to be an editor for The Philadelphia Inquirer and hosts his own radio show 'The Stephen A. Smith Show'. Smith is well-known for his bold style of commenting and has been involved in a variety of controversies over the years.
