Whitney Cummings
Whitney Ann Cummings, an American actor, comedian as well as writer and producer is often referred to as Whitney Ann Cummings. Cummings is from Washington, D.C. She began her career in comedy in Los Angeles following graduation from the University of Pennsylvania. Cummings was a journalist at first in hopes to become journalist. Cummings started stand-up comedy in 2004 and became frequent guests on Chelsea Lately. In the NBC sitcom Whitney the sitcom, in which she played a fictionalized version of herself, she wrote and produced, as well as starred in. The show aired for two seasons, before it was removed in 2013. Cummings also co-created CBS the sitcom 2 Broke Girls in 2011. The show aired for two seasons before it was cancelled in 2013. Cummings followed it up with a stand-up comedy special called I Love You (2014). In the year 2016, her third stand-up special, I'm Your Girlfriend was released by HBO. The show was later released in the form of an album streaming audio in 2021. Cummings was the producer as well as a creator on the ABC revival of Roseanne. But she resigned from the show after it was cancelled. Cummings' fourth show, Can I Touch It? was released on Netflix July 19, 2019.
